Important
The etching paste contained in this set is poisonous. So don’t let children play with it! Avoid contact with the skin. If a splash does get on the skin, rinse it off immediately with plenty of cold water. Also avoid inhaling the fumes of the etching paste. Etching should therefore be done outdoors, not in the sun, but also not in the rain. In both cases, the etching paste may flow out.
This is how the identification is applied in the windows
(>>>ON THE OUTSIDE<<<)
1. First check whether the CORRECT identification data has been punched in the strips (templates).
2. Get a bucket and a sponge and fill the bucket with water
3. Thoroughly clean the places where the identification data should be placed and remove any grease.
- In the windscreen, we recommend the outermost corner of the steering wheel.
- In the rear window the corner that can be seen from the sidewalk
- In the side windows, the corners near the door locks.
4. Apply Templates
- Remove the white backing from the first template.
- Now stick the template on the glass.
- Press the template firmly.
tip: The better the template is pressed, the better the result will be.
5. Apply Etching Paste
- To do this, put the car outside, but not in the sun and not in the rain.
- Now open the bottle with glass etching paste, dip the brush in
- Carefully spread the etching paste over all numbers and letters of the identification data
- Just be careful not to spill over the strips.
- Let the paste work for about 2 minutes
6. Remove the templates from the windows
- not with a hard sharp object, but eg with the nail of your thumb.
7. Remove the etching paste
- Wet the sponge with water and rinse away the paste
- Rinse until all the paste has disappeared from the windows
FYI: The etching paste is absolutely not harmful to the rubber or body of your car!
you will see your identification data neatly etched into the windows, indelible and a deterrent to would-be thieves.
